Burghul pilaf
Burghul pilaf recipe in the arab category
Recipe ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups coarse burghul
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup crumbled fine vermicelli
Recipe method:
- Fry vermicelli in heated butter in a pot.
- Add burghul.
- Fry for 5 minutes over moderate heat.
- Stir in salt, pepper and water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Lower heat and cover pot.
- Continue cooking for 20-25 minutes.
- Serve hot when burghul becomes fluffy and moist.
