Chicken with paprika recipe in the arab category
Recipe ingredients:
- 750 g, 24 oz, chicken, quartered
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 cup shortening or butter
- 1 cup finely chopped fresh coriander
- 1 teaspoon salt, as desired
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, as desired
- Sauce (Shakshouka):
- 750 g, 24 oz, tomatoes, peeled and finely chopped
- 750 g, 24 oz, green bell peppers, grilled, peeled, finely chopped
- 1 cup finely chopped parsley
- 1 cup finely chopped coriander
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed with a dash of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground chili, as desired
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice, as desired
- 1 teaspoon salt, as desired
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, as desired
Recipe method:
- Fry onions with shortening in a pot over medium heat.
- Add chicken, coriander, garlic, salt, black pepper and water.
- Stir, cover and cook for 45 minutes or till tender.
- Sauce:
- Mix green pepper, tomatoes, garlic, coriander and parsley.
- Fry, stirring, over medium heat for 30 minutes.
- Add allspice, black pepper, salt, cumin and chili.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook till thick.
- Serve fried chicken with sauce.
