Green bean stew recipe
Recipe ingredients:
- 1 kg, 32 oz, green beans, string, snip off the ends, snip each into two, wash and drain
- 750 g, 24 oz, stew lamb cutlets
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons shortening or butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups water
Recipe method:
- Fry meat with shortening over medium heat till brown. Season.
- Stir in green beans for 15 minutes on low heat.
- Add water, salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on medium heat until boiling.
- Lower heat. Continue cooking until beans are tender.
- Serve hot accompanied by cooked rice.
