Moon rocks cake


 Moon rocks cake recipe in the cake category

 Recipe ingredients:

  • 1, 6 ounces, package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

 Recipe method:

  • Melt chocolate in top of double boiler.
  • Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
  • Add vanilla extract, flour mixture, water and melted chocolate.
  • Beat at low speed until blended, scraping sides of bowl often.
  • Stir in marshmallows.
  • Fill paper lined cupcake pans half full.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
  • Cool on rack.
