Raspberry cake
Raspberry cake recipe in the cake category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh or frozen raspberries, blueberries or blackberries
- Icing:
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 teaspoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe method:
- Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and add vanilla extract.
- Add remaining ingredients except berries and mix well.
- Put into a 9 x 13 inch pan which has been greased and floured.
- Sprinkle berries on top.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with icing while hot.
- You can use about 2 cups of berries depending on your taste.
