Double chocolate chip cookies
Double chocolate chip cookies recipe in the cookie category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup margarine
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Recipe method:
- Melt 1/3 cup chocolate. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- In large mixing bowl, with electric mixer, beat margarine and sugars for three minutes until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Beat in reserved melted chocolate and vanilla until blended, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
- With the mixer on low, beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in walnuts and remaining 1 cup chocolate.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and freeze for one hour or until firm.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- On an ungreased baking sheets, drop dough by level tablespoons, 2 inches apart.
- Bake 9 minutes or until just set on top.
- Cool for one minute. Transfer to wire rack. Cool completely.
