Heart shaped valentine cookies recipe in the cookie category
Recipe ingredients:
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 3/4 cup honey
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
Recipe method:
- Beat the butter, honey and almond extract with an electric mixer until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add flour, a cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the almonds.
- Shape 1/2 cup portions of dough into heart shapes, no thicker than 1/2 inch, on ungreased baking sheet.
- Decorate with sprinkles or candies.
- Bake in a 300 degrees F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges brown.
- Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan.
