Snicker doodles
Snicker doodles recipe in the cookie category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cup uncooked oats
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
Recipe method:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease cookie sheet.
- In a mixing large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar and 3/4 cup granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs then mix well.
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon, soda and salt.
- Add to sugar mixture then mix well.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheet.
- In small bowl, combine remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Sprinkle lightly over each cookie.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet before removing to wire cooling rack.
