Sugar cookies recipe in the cookie category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cream of tarter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in milk
- 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour sifted
Recipe method:
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Cream shortening and add sugar, egg and mix until light and fluffy.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to sugar mixture.
- Bake for 10 minutes in a 400 degrees F oven.
- Decorate with icing or by using sprinkles if desired.
