Chicken and sausage recipe in the crockpot category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon oil, olive
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 medium onions, chopped
- 1 pepper, red, chopped
- 1 pepper, green, chopped
- 1 small zucchini, chopped
- 1 can mushrooms
- 1 can tomatoes, italian, stewed
- 1 can tomato paste (6oz)
- 1/4 pound sausage, hot
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- Pepper, red, flaked, optional
Recipe method:
- Heat oil in skillet. Sautee onion and garlic until light brown. Remove.
- Add sausage and chicken to brown in the skillet. Drain and pat dry.
- In crockpot combine all other ingredients together with the onions and garlic.
- Add the sausage then top with the chicken breasts.
- Cover and cook on low setting 6-8 hours.
