Tangy red bulgar recipe in the crockpot category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 cup red and green bell peppers, chopped
- 1 cup zucchini or yellow squash, chopped
- 2 1/4 cups bloody mary mix or vegetable juice
- 1 cup bulgur wheat
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon basil or 1 tbl fresh
- 1/3 cup green onions, chopped
Recipe method:
- Toss all ingredients except the basil and green onions in crockpot.
- Cook on low for 8 hours, adding the basil after 7.5 hours.
- Garnish with green onions just before serving.
