Sag panir recipe in the curry category
Recipe ingredients:
- 2 pints whole milk
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- Oil for deep frying
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup curry sauce
- 16 ounces can pureed spinach
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cummin
- 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
Recipe method:
- Make the milk into curd cheese cubes for mattar panir.
- Heat the four tablespoons of oil in a deep frying pan.
- When hot add the curry sauce and cook rapidly for about five minutes until quite thick.
- Add the spinach and stir in the salt, ground cummin and chilli powder.
- Simmer, stirring, for ten minutes.
- Now add the cheese cubes and garam masala and continue to cook over a gentle heat for a further five minutes.
- Serve.
