Strawberry marshmallow pie recipe in the pie category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1 crust pie shell
- 1 package frozen strawberries, use no syrup
- 1 package strawberry Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 16 large marshmallows
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip
Recipe method:
- Bake pie shell.
- Thaw and drain frozen strawberries. Set aside.
- Combine strawberry Jell-O with boiling water.
- Mix until Jell-O is completely dissolved.
- Add syrup from strawberries plus enough water to make 1 cup liquid.
- Mix well. Chill until partially set.
- In a saucepan, combine marshmallows and milk. Cook over low heat and cool.
- Fold in whipped cream or Cool Whip. Set aside.
- Add drained, thawed strawberries to partially set Jell-O.
- Combine the strawberries and Jell-O mixture to the marshmallows and whipped cream mixture.
- Fold together and put in your baked crust and chill until firm in refrigerator.
