Dixie pork chops recipe in the pork category
Recipe ingredients:
- 8 pork chops
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sage
- 4 tart apples, cored, sliced into rings
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup seedless raisins
Recipe method:
- Brown chops in small amount of hot oil.
- Sprinkle with salt and sage.
- Place in casserole.
- Top with apple rings and sprinkle with brown sugar.
- Add flour to oil in skillet and stir constantly until brown.
- Add water and vinegar.
- Cook until thick.
- Add raisins.
- Pour mixture over chops.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
