Orange ginger pork roast


 Orange ginger pork roast recipe in the pork category

 Recipe ingredients:

  • 1, 3 or 4 pound, boneless pork roast
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Orange glaze:
    • 1 cup orange marmalade
    • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
    • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
    • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

 Recipe method:

  • Combine mustard, salt, pepper and ginger.
  • Rub well into meat.
  • Place roast on rack in roasting pan.
  • Insert meat thermometer so that bulb is in center of the thickest part of the meat.
  • Bake uncovered at 325 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes per pound until heat registers 170 degrees F on thermometer.
  • Orange glaze: Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir often.
  • During last 30 minutes of cooking, baste with glaze every 10 minutes.
  • Allow to stand 10 minutes before carving.
