Orange ginger pork roast recipe in the pork category
Recipe ingredients:
- 1, 3 or 4 pound, boneless pork roast
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Orange glaze:
- 1 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Recipe method:
- Combine mustard, salt, pepper and ginger.
- Rub well into meat.
- Place roast on rack in roasting pan.
- Insert meat thermometer so that bulb is in center of the thickest part of the meat.
- Bake uncovered at 325 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes per pound until heat registers 170 degrees F on thermometer.
- Orange glaze: Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Stir often.
- During last 30 minutes of cooking, baste with glaze every 10 minutes.
- Allow to stand 10 minutes before carving.
