Noodle pudding recipe



Recipe for noodle pudding in our easy vegetarian recipes collection.

Recipe ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 2/3 cup soured cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups flat noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1/2 cup raisins or sultanas
  • 4 tablespoons butter or marqarine, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How to make noodle pudding

  • Mix the cottage and cream cheese with the soured cream.
  • Beat the eggs and sugar together and add them to the cheese mixture.
  • Fold in the cooked noodles and raisins.
  • Turn the mixture into a buttered ovenproof dish.
  • Pour on the melted butter.
  • Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle it over the top of the noodle mixture.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Serve hot.
  • Variation: This hearty central european pudding has many variations. Add chopped apples or soaked dried apricots to the mixture before baking. Vary the cheese mixture to include more cottage cheese or use curd cheese instead of the cream cheese.
